We're getting to go back up north in a very short time, but a piece of my heart stays here in Texas. I just love it in South Texas, and have done so many fun things here!
The birds are singing, the fish have been biting, I'm sunburnt most of the time- and I love it.

Close- dolphins not sharks. We have tons of them around, and can't put fish on a stringer because the dolphins might take them (and the kayak) on their swim-bys.
This is a perfect time of year- no gators or snakes yet (well, none to speak of- they are there but not active), no bugs, not too hot, and not much humidity. Fishing is good, the oysters are wonderful, the beaches aren't crowded. I just love it here!
Oh, that reminds me! Another one of my favorite things!
