Hi All - I finally got my zymatic and did a test run with the pale ale it came with. Things went ok, still learning the basics of the unit and cleanup, etc, along with getting back into brewing. I dont see a lot of information about picobrew recipes and kits and I assume theres some recipe differences from a normal system. Anyhow, I'm looking to do a few more batches to get the hang of things and get myself back into the sport of brewing. I'm a fan of IPA's, hoppy Ambers, ESB's, maybe a good steam beer, or anything nice and clean for summer spring days coming our way. Anyhow, wondering what are some favorite 'tried and true' recipes on this unit would be AND how you go about sourcing the ingredients (any sites able to ship it as a kit all measured out, etc?).

Thanks all'
JD

If you noodle around the Picobrew site, (not terribly well laid out, I admit) you can import recipes from the Community, then Recipe tab. They can be sorted for feedback popularity, or alphabetically, and then Imported into your personal library. (I completely missed this when I started, and made my own recipe for the kit that came with my machine. :smack: )

Alternatively, you can go to Community, then Forums, and then towards the bottom under Sales, is Ingredient Kits. They apparently have two businesses that will sell you pre-made Pico kits.

Annie's Spock the Melder (Pliny clone) is my favorite IIPA recipe just now.

Homebrewing.org (like most online dealers) will weigh out ingredients for you per your order if you want to buy just enough for one batch. For prepackaged ingredient kits the most economical solution is the 3 gallon BIAB kits from Northern Brewer. They have a decent variety of those at good prices and affordable shipping and they are compatible with the Zymatic.
