Black Friday came on my birthday and I treated myself to some kegerator upgrades. I purchased a couple of Perlick 650ss faucets to replace some second hand Krome ones. Unfortunately I get more head now than ever before. Currently I'm trying to pour a wheat beer with 2.8vol co2 (13psi) at 35 degrees through 3' of beer line and a 5-1/8" shank.

When pouring I hear a gurgling sound regardless of the pressure on the co2 tank and position of the flow control lever. All I manage to pour is a thick frothy head...

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Longer lines. I think most people end up balanced out somewhere between 6 & 10' lines. I use 10' with no problem.

About to build my setup and everything I've read has said more hose, more hose, more hose. I settled on 10' to avoid any problems.

I bought the Flow Control faucets to avoid the foam issues and allow for a shorter line. I didn't want to have to mess with 10' sitting around in the kegerator. I guess, this makes the flow control faucet worthless. Thus far, i could get a better pour out of a $10 chrome faucet with a shorter line length. My upgrade is more of a down grade at this time...
