Hey guys,

I got a anheuser busch keg that i turned into into a keggle. I also have 1/2 inch barb. I been using a braid and the braid doesnt work good at all because shrinks and no wort or water can go through.

My question is would this false bottom work fine because its reasonable or do you guys have something else in mind?

It'll work just fine, but there are other options. I use a center drain diptube made from copper fittings on my keggle and just bag my hops using a "Hop Spider".

Are you using the kettle for boiling or as a mash tun? I would get a full width false bottom if using for a mash tun. I use the one shown in the link in my boil kettle as a hop strainer.

I like this full width version: http://www.brew-magic.com/ketl_acc_falsebtm.html
