So I have been brewing for 2 years (AG) and have been brewing Ambers and Darks because my local tap water was meant for it without adjustments and have had excellent success and stellar beer but I am moving into Water Adjustments with a Blonde Ale I came up with and looking for simple adjustment calculators, I am not one to just "wing it" and have been reading on them and testing them on these calulators and think I have found my adjustment but still unclear or uncertain. Here's my adjustment on EZ and could use some feed back on it to make sure I'm doing it correctly. I am building off of 100 distilled water but did enter my local profile anyway. My profile I was aiming for was light colored and slightly hoppy but balanced. Any thoughts? Like total amount of salts when prepping all water together and splitting it into Mash/Sparge water. ALSO TRYING TO FIGURE WHY MY PH SAYS ZERO...

Why doesn't the spreadsheet give you an estimated room-temp pH figure?

And I don't have time to add these things into mine to check, but since you're starting w/ RO water, I'd guess your mash water additions, along with the acidulated malt, would give you a very low pH figure.

Also, is this a very old version? Mine allows me to specify the type of grain in a small drop-down menu next to each line of grain.

I have no Idea, my water profile is perfect but the PH is estimated at zero, used Brewer' Friend Calculator and Bru' Water and PH was spot on, this was easier but obviously not working correctly

Go into the options menu of your spreadsheet and see if the "automatically update formulas" option is checked.
I did, it was, interesting, btw I am using the mobile version of the spreadsheet. What's interesting is bru water and brewers friend has everything
spot on.

Your copy of EZ Water appears to be broken. If that is the software which you intend to use, I would suggest downloading a fresh copy.

The other alternative is an incompatibility between EZ Water and your chosen spreadsheet software.

I figured this much, I was using it with Bru Water and Brewer's Friend Calcuators to match it all up, I am over thinking it and just getting into Water chem... Not really a fan of double working so I try to cross all my T's and dot the I's before I pull the trigger on Something I haven' got comfortable with.
