Just received a recipe book and has a killer IPA recipe that I want to make this weekend. However, the recipe stated has an extract or all grain option but no partial mash and I would like to make this partial mash. The recipe calls for light LME and 2 types of Chrystal grain for steeping. This has a preboil volume of 7 gallons to make a 5 gallon batch. Recipe calls for 10.25 lbs of LME + steeping grains.

Please let me know if I'm on the correct path here...would 6 lbs of LME + 2lbs American 2 row and 1.25lbs of Chrystal be alright for this recipe using partial mash? Not sure if the LME is enough and if there are enough grains for mashing. Thanks.
