So I picked up some Evian in 750 ml glass bottles with pop tops. Anyone know if these would work for bottling? They look like they have the same size mouth as a beer bottle.

I wasn't planning on using them exclusively, but they are pretty and figured they'd be a neat addition to the standard beer bottles and champagne bottles I have.

I'm not sure if the same applies to their glass as the plastic, but the plastic bottles are much lighter and not designed to hold pressure. Make sure the glass is heavy/thick enough to hold pressure before you use them.

If they didn't come with something carbonated in them, it's almost sure they aren't made to hold pressure and could be dangerous. I wouldn't trust 'em.

Glad I checked. The beer is too tasty and the bottles too pretty for me to combine them and end up with a big mess.

Thanks all.
