I disagree 100%

Me too. They still have 2 goals on Schneider, and it's basically just Luongo's team stranding him. A goalie can only do so much...

Schneider showed wayy more effort and skill in this game alone than Luongo has shown all series.

Do you not remember Game 3? Game 4? You really want Luongo in goal for Game 7?

If so, be my guest. =D

Playing goal is as much a mental game as anything else. It's like nothing else on sports. You TRY to get in front of really fast moving hard flying objects so they hit you. When they hit it hurts. Not every shot, but I never played a game were I didn't leave the rink without a couple of new black and blues. If you're not 100% in the game mentally you don't stand a chance. I don't see how he can come back after giving up those four fast goals and getting yanked, it has to have messed with his head. Sure, if he was playing the Ducks his next game it would be different, but he's back facing the same team that's spanked him. I don't see him rebounding from that.

Well of course those guys are much more focused and mentor tough than the average Joe, but the ice is going to be full of mentally tough guys. Some of them are tougher than others and I believe that Luongo, right now, given the way he has played on some of the games, isn't mentally tough. Now he may well go out there on Wednesday and stone the Bruins but he hasn't shown me that he has that makeup.

Game 7 could go either way. Luongo gave up 12 goals in games 3 & 4 and then came back home and posted another shutout. He just got chased so maybe he'll bounce back and be lucky to win the cup just like his shaky performance in the gold medal game.

In 09 the home team won every game except game 7 when the Pens won at the Joe. I don't think that will happen this year. I predict the Canucks sneak out with a win.

Either way I bet Thomas gets the Conn Smythe.

Marchand punching one of the twins in the face about nine times and then laughing at him was funny stuff. Marchand had this expression on his face like, "Jesus dude! Do you even have testicles?? I just punched you in the face about nine times and you're a foot taller than me!"

I couldn't believe it when I saw that...What the hell is that all about. He just wouldn't fight back. What a puss y.

Good for him to do it to one of the Twins. Everyone in the league knows that neither one of them will fight back, just like half the players in the league right now. I don't see him going up to Bieksa and doing that. At least Marchand is semi smart to look like a tough guy against someone he knows will do nothing.

The Canucks played like a$$ last night, and they better have a very short memory and get back at it at home. I would have thought that the injury to Raymond would have sparked them a little, but nothing came out of it. And Bobby let in a couple of softies that cost them the game.

anyone need a new avatar???

Daniel survived four straight gloved jabs from Bruin Brad Marchand in a late scrum. Marchand was assessed a roughing minor, although it was difficult to deduce which of the four punches was registered by referee Kelly Sutherland.

“It was the fifth one,” Daniel said. “I took six. People are going to call us soft, but what can I do? We’re going to keep taking punches. That is the way we play. If the referees see it, I’m sure they’ll call it.”

Ehhh..... what can you do????? Uhhh... I dunno... not be such a huge pu$$y??

Why???

1) Cause there's been SOOOO little trash talk against the B's on this thread?

or 2) because that'll make the Canucks that much less of a bunch of pansies?

You better hope to God the baby bears win the series.

help me out...

we get THIS...

So THAT'S what Horton was trying to do.

... which is the second time he's made a super funny joke about a severe concussion and loss of one of our top scoreres on a shot cheap enough that the league tossed Rome for the rest of the series.

... and I'm laughing at Sedin standing there like a total pansie getting punched in the six times (according to Sedin himself) while Marchand laughed at him...

... and I better "hope to God" the B's win????

Or else you'll have been beaten by huge *******? Good grief, you over reactive eastern seaboard tool. Isn't it time for you to go lift Brady's bag so he can shave his taint?

When asked why he was hitting Sedin, Marchand had a pretty straight-forward answer. "I felt like it."

Did Sedin say something that got under his skin? "No, he didn't say anything. He was just right there. He was just kind of taking it."

The Sedins tried to play more aggressive to deal with all the criticism early in game 5 and got reamed for it. That's not what they're good at, that's not what they're paid to do. Sedin was taking the punches so that it wouldn't devolve into a brawl, something he really can't afford to be in, and he had a reasonable expectation of it being stopped by a ref MUCH earlier.

I don't know if you guys have ever played hockey beyond a house league, but everybody was wrong in that thing EXCEPT Sedin. It's like an unwritten rule, you don't **** with the star players, and you don't **** with people who clearly have no intention of fighting. Ask even some of the toughest enforcers in the league... they stick to fighting there own kind, and even then, usually wait till both guys have signaled their intention before throwing down.

The ref also screwed up BIG TIME. Again... unwritten rule, every experienced hockey player knows this: doesn't matter if other players are in a full-on fight, the ref CANNOT allow that to be happening to a star player and should have been watching and stepped in immediately. I'd be very surprised if that ref wasn't at least threatened with a firing over that... it's a HUGE oversight. That's what Sedin meant when he said he was waiting for the ref to stop it. The worst thing he could do (on so many levels) is bring himself down to Marchand's level.

As for making fun of the Horton hit... I would LOVE to know the reasoning behind the suspension. It deserved a 2:00 interference penalty, that's it. It's almost like they took him out because they figured Boston was going to be down an important player and it'd make it fair, not because he actually did anything suspension-worthy.
