Has anyone used these new-ish french hops? Care to share your experience with them?

I've got 4oz on the way from YVH and I'm thinking a hoppy black saison.
 
It smells great out of the bag and maybe in small amounts it could be cool but I get a lot of the cognac, leather, tobacco. Maybe in a darker malt based beer it would work a bit better.
 
From what I've read elsewhere and comments above, it sounds like Elixir would be great in a dark sour or a dubbel. Got me thinking about ordering some.
