Eliminate co2 for mini keg?

If I carbed my Apfelwein in a mini keg, is it necessary to use a cartridge to dispense it, or would that be overkill?

Yeah, you really should keep pressure on it. It will be fine for the first few glasses, but near the end it will get pretty flat unless you keep the co2 pressure constant.
