Obviously that's not an STC-1000.

Search the forum for MH1210. I've posted at least a couple of wiring diagrams for that controller...

Since it only has one relay output, it cannot control both cooling and heating at the same time.

Thanks day_tripper, I found one! Just realized that it will only do one or the other, not what I thought I got.

I'm going to use it for our trash can fermentation chambers to more accurately run the aquarium heaters. Waste not, want not!
 
I just built one of these. I used that same diagram and I added an led so it looks cool.

Any idea if this uses the same chipset as the STC-1000? I'm wondering about the "flashability", i.e., STC-1000+
 
Almost certainly not, and in any case, it's only outfitted with a single relay, which renders nearly all of the added functionality expressed in the + firmware moot...

There are dual relay versions of this same controller for $18 shipped on ebay.. and bare bones 12v relay versions for like $8-12 shipped now. I use both a single realy and dual control mode as well as a regular stc 1000 and I find the knock offs much easier to adjust temps and such.. they do have different menus and operation structure.
I haven't tried to flash the stc 1000+ firmware to stc yet since Im not really sure how to go about it...I know I'll likely need some sort of homemade jtag device to do it.
