Last year I received a 12 gal SS conical fermenter. It has all triclover fittings. One problem, I have been a 5 gal batch brewer. So, I have been slowly acquiring a system to brew 10 gallons. The next problem is that I just finished converting all my threaded fittings on my plumbing to Quick disconnects. Now, I'm working to convert my equipment after the boil kettle to triclover, to match up with my fermenter and for easier cleaning.
Below are some pictures of my 10 Gallon brew kettle. I took off the threaded ball valve with (threaded NPT valve with a threaded NPT male quick connect). I added a triclover X 1/2" FNPT fitting that Bobby M sells on BrewHardware.com. I did a check just to see it the fit allowed enough room for the clamp.
Now I have a nice, low profile port on my pot where I can take a valve off after every brew and clean. Now time to buy a triclover valve. This product should work well on my pump outlets as well. The Qucik connect to triclam fittings should work well too.
Just a check to see if I need more space between the kettle and triclover. Nope. Just a large washer.:rockin:
