dunkel-esque recipe hops question

..am thinking about brewing a dunkel dark beer. have a whack of centennial and cascades hops. would either of these work in a dark beer??

If you want it to taste American, then yes. If you want it to taste European or German in particular, then no.

Hallertau Mittlefruh hops are about as traditional as you will get for a Dunkel.
