I'm adding some dryhops to my IPA today. Two ounces of the hops are homegrown- an ounce of chinook and an ounce of cascades, while one ounce is commercial simcoe. They smell SOOOOOO good! I'm going to live dangerously and just toss them in, and hope I can siphon the beer out next week!

There should be a pint or two in the bottom.:)

I'll never use leaf hops again for dryhopping.

Yeah, they do suck up some beer, don't they? But then, they make a tasty snack afterwards!

I'm kidding. Hops don't taste nearly as great as they smell. Don't believe me? Eat a pellet. Just one. I just had to do it. Just like when I was a kid and just had to taste that delicious smelling vanilla extract.

Anyway, I dryhop often with whole hops, but there were already about 3 ounces of leaf hops in this batch, so I have a feeling I"ll have quite a mess at kegging time!
