Howdy from the East side of Oregon. I've been reading these forums daily for a couple of weeks and decided to join.

My BIL and I have decided to begin brewing in his shop soon. We have a brewing kit and soon will have a 40qt pot and turkey fryer to go along with it. We hope to get the first batch started this weekend.

This began as a solo venture before I realized I didn't have a good place to brew, and he has a kegerator. Plus, my sister is mean as hell and he needs to get out once in a while.

Anyway, looking forward to learning a lot.:mug:

Welcome to the HBT Six. Good luck on your first trip down Home Brew Lane this weekend. I did my very first batch last Saturday, and had a blast. Can't wait to get my next one going....lol

Hi and welcome..
In view of your description, it is not only a great hobby but your duty to get
that man into the garage and out of harms way.

May the spirit of homebrewing embrace and nurture you both!

Welcome also from the wet side of Oregon, I do really like Eastern Oregon though, where you from in the East?

Hope there's some heat in the shop. It's getting cold.

You might as well start planning your hop garden. They grow well out there.

I'm in Baker. I do visit the coast at least once a year and enjoy my time there, but this has always been home. The cougars haven't killed all the elk and deer yet.

The hop garden is already in the works...:)
