Hi all, new to the forum but I've been snooping around here for a while.
I'm a rookie home brewer so don't bash me to bad!
My question is when to dry hop. I use a secondary fermentor and am not sure if I should add hops to the primary or secondary.
The hops are one ounce of cascade.
Thanks for any help.

either way is fine...I've done it both ways and had no issues. typically, I only secondary when adding fruit, dry hops, etc....or to free up a primary vessel. happy brewing.

I dry hop for about 3-7 days before packaging. It doesn't matter where you do it- it's more of "when". You want to do it immediately before packaging. If the beer is going to sit in a fermenter for a couple of weeks, simply add the hops about a week before packaging. That gives you the best hops aroma and flavor.

I made the mistake of dry hopping too long once and the flavor came out very grassy. This is one area where longer may not be better.
