Hi,

I need to make a batch before I leave for holiday. I plan to transfer to my secondary and dry hop some Centennial, Summit and Citra before I leave. I will be out of town for 6 weeks. Can anyone tell me if dry hopping in a secondary for this long will produce any bad flavours/excessive bitterness?

Thanks!

I would wait and dry hop when you return. Dry hopping for that long will surely provide the beer a grassy, vegetal character you do not want. I typically only dry hop for 3 days tops and that works perfectly. Do yourself a favor and ditch the secondary and leave it is the primary for the 6 weeks, it will be ok.
