I brewed an IPA that has been in primary for 3 weeks. I was thinking at week 4 dry hopping it for another week. Should I dry hop in the same primary fermenter of rack it to a secondary 5 gal carboy ?

Should I dry hop it after 3 weeks primary of 4 weeks?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I didn;'t find what I was looking for in the search.

If you don't need the bucket I would leave it in the primary. Three or four weeks won't make any difference. I never secondary. Personally, I would dry hop in primary after three weeks and bottle a week or so later or whenever it was convenient.

Thanks I guess I'll drop it in now and bottle next week.
