My girlfriends parents own car dealerships, so her father loves to go to Barrett jackson and Mecum auctions to buy for his "toy box". This is a 67 Camaro with a 427 he used to have but sold. It was one of the nicest and most detailed cars I've ever seen. Too bad i didnt have the $120,000 that he was asking for it.

Certainly one of my top dream cars.

That is flipping amazing! Bankrupt company and all! ...

A Fisker ... either the sedan or the couple would be fine.

fisker_karmas_03.jpg

Yep, beautiful and sophisticated at the same time.
My reaction to seeing a Fisker for the first time was like seeing a beautiful woman.

No doubt there are lots of cars I covet ... but this is the only one where, like in The Godfather where Michael sees Apollonia for the first time ... to quote Fabrizio: I got "hit by the thunderbolt".
Che bella.

And I really like the idea of a supercar/exotic that is also an electric.

btw: after the bankruptcy filing, Fisker was bought by a chinese multinational company a couple months ago and is expected to re-start production in the U.S. and European markets with it's existing model lines (the Karma, the Surf, the Sunset, and the Atlantic) in the next few months.

I thought about this for a bit, and came up with the usual suspects one might find on such a list:

  • DB9 (a friend has one -- what a ride! And beautiful!).
  • Ford GT 500.
  • Realistically, I am currently on a quiet hunt for a BMW M3 or M5.
  • I really like the BMW 6 series convertible. Preferrably the M version.
  • Modern E-type Jag came to mind...

However, my dream car is one Ford never made, but I may make myself someday. I have never wavered in my desire for this car. If they made one, I would have bought it as a kid and never let it go. The '69's and up never quite did it for me.

My FIL had a '67 Cougar he was fixing up. He sold it just after the paint when he moved away. It was the lighter green pearl color. They are sweet cars. I did some welding on it and he did some filling and sanding.

The divorce screwed everything up. MIL took a hammer to it in a fit of passion right before he was going to take it in for paint. He made a deal with the paint guy to fix it, but sold it to pay for a move.

I find it interesting that there seems to be 2 basic categories of dreamcar...
The largest is those that go fast; the other is those that go offroad.
Doesn't seem to be much inbetween.
Regards, GF.

1971 mach 1 twister special mustang.........do I really need to say more?

I'm pretty sure that's a 1970.

1971 they modified the body a lot more. 1970 is basically a 1969 in body style, but they did away with the 4 headlights and used a fill panel for the outer headlights.

1971 has the "NASA SCOOPS" in the hood.

Yes, that's a '70. '71 was the beginning of the ugly years.

We drove thru the car show in Pigeon Forge last fall.....told SWMBO if I happen to see one of these for sale (there were a lot of vehicles for sale), we may have an issue.

Love old school muscle. The Chevelle bug bit me a couple years ago.

Almost Famous Brewing Company

Here's a shot with the top up.

Used to tour over thirty breweries as of this time. Most don't mind us camping in their parking lot after drinking their beer.

Here we are on the way to Durango, CO for some brews, no worry about the beer getting too warm!
