Double planting rhizomes?

Curious if anyone who's doing larger scale planting has gone to the expense of double planting rhizomes? Basically putting 2 in one spot in case one doesn't make it.

I've had rhizomes not make it in my back garden, but never thought to double plant. When planting hundreds/thousands, this seems like a crazy expense.

When you're at a larger scale the price per rhizome comes way down so it's very common to plant multiple per hill in case you have some duds in the lot:

Thanks for that. Ya looks like it's the norm for larger scale operations. I've ordered double the Rhizomes for the coming spring.
