made my 5 gallon full boil batch in my new 40 qt concord pot. and my first from scratch recipe, left over grains and hops and a 3.3lb can of briess golden light LME a friend gave me. entered into beersmith and looked good. grains were 1.8lb flaked barley, .5oz chocolate malt, and 1.15lb wheat malt mashed at 155 for 60 minutes, added the LME and brought it up to a boil. added 1oz cascade hops and boiled for 60 minutes. started out with 7 gallons ro water and ended with just over 5 gallons at end of boil. sg after boil was 1.031 beersmith said 1.030 so i must have done something right. first pick is my new pot. second pic is after mash and adding LME. third pick is the boil.
