I might graft a some cider variety trees in the Spring and I'm wondering if some scion wood might be a available from some HBT members.

I had my Dad send me some scion wood last winter. He was worried that they might not survive the trip. They all took except for a few that came from a very old tree. It's great to think that pieces of the farm I grew up on is here with me 2000 miles away.

Unfortunately, I don't have any cider varieties, just the usual baking/dessert apples. But a scion wood exchange is a great idea.

Womblesd : This being your first post, can I assume that you stumbled upon this thread while googleing ? Do you also know of any scion exchange forums ?

for my area, i prefer mm111, a large semi-dwarf that is drought tolerant & grows well in heavy clay soils. its my understanding b118 is better up north in extreme cold.
