Does it affect how the freezer works on a fridge when u use a temp controller to regulate the fridge temp.

It depends on the fridge. Most of them have a fan that pulls cold air from the freezer to cool the refrigerator side. The freezer will always be a little colder but it won't freeze anything if you're fermenting at ale temps.
