Awesome man! Very glad you enjoyed the beer and time at our humble little spot! The Pilot is actually mostly simcoe, a little amarillo, centennial, chinook, summit, nugget, cascade and columbus. With the exception of simcoe, it's a fairly tame hop profile actually. New double out in sub two weeks-ish though. One that will see distro and growlers because we are happy with it, too! :) Thanks again for the patronage man, any and all feedback is most appreciated!

Well damn, color me impressed! I feel Simcoe is a hop that if its misused, the beer can be extremely piney or have that 'Cat piss' like nose/flavor. Great job!

Tillage is up for today, When Pigs Fly dinner/pairing is tonight, Arose has kicked, Agricultural is on her last keg, Aggregation is on her last keg for this run, and Lambent is still on her last keg. Hope to see you either here or at Pigs Fly!

edit: 12:19pm, Pigs Fly event is sold out.

Cumulation on last keg this week, as is Genotype. Another DIPA should be up by Saturday at the latest, aiming for Thursday but it's a crazy week. Triple package week, brewing, and multiple events lined up. Lots of events upcoming as well, check them out... oh and buy beer if you like it please :)

I'm curious about the wheat flour in this - did the higher protein content (as opposed to AP flour) make a difference? Actually, I suppose I don't have a reference point for using that in beer either.

Take it the AMA thread!

We're driving VT, NH, & ME for our 10th anniversary in June and will most certainly be buying beer. Can't wait to try this stuff.

When it comes to AP flour I tend to avoid as I have no idea what's actually in there. But a flour mill and a bag of wheat, now that I can do with clean conscience. :p But yes, the idea is just bumping the protein content vs no flour. We're at essentially 7.5% and it seems to drop bright while still maintaining mouthfeel imho. It's more for my edification during recipe evolution/development, than it is something consumers should be looking at. I probably never should have written it as an "ingredient" as I know of many who don't.

Edit: I read like a 2nd grader. Will you be open the Sunday the 17th as well?

Kinda what I thought. Thanks for the information!

Haha, no worries. I have a tendency to "type in circles." So I'm sure I'm partially to blame!

Currently no, but we are in the process of working Sundays into the schedule more permanently. But for right now, just the 10th is slated.

Can you explain more what you mean by "pure culture"? Are these spontaneous?
Sure. These are not spontaneous. She was done using pure cultures of pedio and bretts b&c. American Wild Ale is just so bastardized, I prefer to use either pseudoLambic or pLambic as a descriptor. Simply personal preference.

Just a heads up:

First things first we will be CLOSED this coming Thursday the 28th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

However, starting May 1st, we are very excited to announce that we will be expanding our hours to include Sundays from 12-4pm. We hope you'll join us in whole heartedly welcoming Will as a vital front of house member to our team here at Deciduous.

So just to clarify:
4/28: CLOSED
4/29: 3-7pm
4/30: 12-5pm
5/1: 12-4pm
and then our "normal hours" resume with the addition of Sundays...
5/5: 4-7pm
5/6: 3-7pm
5/7: 12-5pm
5/8: 12-4pm

Auranja bottles will be plenty available, along with Aggregation, Cumulation, Auroral, Tillage, Dimorphic, and Renascence for growler fills.
Dormancy's are down to the wire, and plenty of Sepal is available as well.
