anyone ever make a starter in buckets and successfully cool and decant from those? I have a 1.5L lager (oktoberfest) yeast starter on a stir plate, but want to make 10gal of lager, and should do a second stage. I want to decant because this has been fermenting at 70F Any votes for:

1-splitting it in half between 2 buckets, make a 2nd stage occasionally swirling them, then cooling and decanting the beer. not sure if you can effectively

2- just decant the 1.5L stir plate starter, split it and underpitch a little?
