OldMetalGuy doing me right.

09/2013 bottle. Very smooth and alcohol is well-hidden, dangerously drinkable at 10%. Let the kids drink their under-attenuated candy bar stouts...I'll take a well-executed, straightforward RIS any day.*

* I'm willing to admit that I will also gladly drink under-attenuated candy bar stouts. We all fall victim to the hype machine from time to time.

Just picked up a fresh 6-pack and it turns out one of my favorite surprise/"holy **** this is good" beers from 2016 has turned into a complete dud. Much more amber in color rather than the light blond I remember. Almost completely flat after settling rather than an effervescent, prickly carb that never went away (some said overcarbed, I said "**** yes" and reveled in the orchestra of my flatulence). No fruity yeast esters/strong brett funk and tartness that actually made it something different in the market. Now just a slightly vinous mess - tastes like someone poured some chardonnay opened last week into a Saison Dupont opened yesterday. What a ******* disappointment.
