Founders Doom (2017)
Oxidized. Boozy. Caramel. Oak.
Well there is a reason I don't usually do trades / BIF's / etc... outside of TalkBeer, and after "winning" a Super Bowl Square on a FB beer group a friend signed me up for I remember why.
This smells terribly oxidized to the point where it's getting that wet dog food level of oxidation, and then it has a huge amount of boozy oak to follow that up. Bit of oxidized hops, some warming alcohol, and some lingering caramel oxidized character to follow it up.
It's going to be a struggle to finish this pour, and as I have to much beer, will likely be drainpoured for something better.
They can't all be winners. At least my
DJPhresh glass makes it look better.
