Just some thoughts, if there's a split open, I'd suggest that you give the guys sharing the split the option to close the split among themselves. If they elect not to close out the split, then remove it from the order.

Make the Paypal payment to "Friends or Family" drafted directly from your attached bank account to avoid PayPal charges.

ADDED: Most instructions are in the first post of this thread.

NOTE TO ALL:
Some splits have not closed and will be cancelled if they don't fill by Saturday 10 a.m. at the very latest.
So if you're participating in one of those open splits, don't start paying yet. Your amounts due may change.​

Regarding the open splits. Yes, it is up to those involved to decide what to do with it. Sometimes they get moved to the next buy if no-one is desperate for them now. Those announcements should be made here, in this thread, so everyone knows.

BTW, your dues on splits have changed.

Now strange enough I expected Munton's Dark to win the battle

So about payments:

You can ignore my advice, but the way I have always done this is holding off payment until I close the order. Splits change, people drop out, refunding is a PITA. So I would wait until Fri. night to pay up, to me or any of the splits. I will send out an email on Friday to every primary buyer on the list with instructions on what they owe, how to pay, when to arrive to pickup, etc. With the list online, some of that is overkill, but I am a creature of (bad?) habit so I will probably keep doing what I have been doing.
Remember if you are not the primary buyer on a split, you pay the primary buyer (via paypal if possible). Primary buyer of any splits pays me for the entire sack. Naturally, for any non-split sack you buy, you pay me as well. I pay our middle man, he pays the warehouse. Hope this is clear...
