I'm going to make a cider with 3 oz raisins per pound. I'm thinking of adding some dates for complexity. Anyone have any experience with dates and cider; specifically, how much to add?

I'd plan on at least two dates before you'd get in cider.

I have a recipe that calls for 8 oz of dried fruit per gallon. The dried fruit was a mix of dates, raisins and figs.

Love the humor. Thanks for the advise. I think I'll use the 8 oz recommendation.
