Hello all, I am not new to home brewing but I am new to kegging. I live in Chicago in a small apartment but I know I wanted to build something where I could keep kegs and dispense beer. I bought everything for my project from Amazon and Home Depot and the total cost was around $350.
Freezer- $250
Paint- $15
Wood- $15
Stain- $8
Polyclear finish- $3
Beer taps and shanks- $60
Gorilla glue and screws- $8
This project took 2 days including letting the paint dry. The lid is painted with chalkboard paint. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. The wood I used was a select pine board 1x4x12 that I picked up at Home Depot. My original plan was to buy 2x4 but the border on this freezer model was under 2 inches. It would not close properly with a 2x4. I am not a "handy man" yet this project was easy enough for me to take on by myself.
