I want to try and ferment a small batch (3G) in a keg but it won’t fit in my mini fridge “as is”; however, it looks like if I cut one of the rubber handles off it will slide under the freezer shelf. Half of the keg will still be accessible so I will have room for a spunding valve.

Anyone done this type of surgery before? I’m only cutting the one handle and not the entire rubber top so I should still be able to carry it with the other handle in place.
