My wife & I are doing a week in MB. Can anyone point us at a good bar or pub for local craft brews or at least a decent selection of regional stuff?

Cheers!

I was just a bit north of you in Sunset Beach, NC last week. Couldn't find much. But we have little ones so going out at night wasn't on the menu. We tried a few local brews found in the grocery store.

My favorite was Natty Greene's Southern Pale Ale. I really enjoyed it...nice and malty (Maris Otter, Munich, CaraVienna) with decent hop profile (all Cascade). Nothing world class, but very tasty.

Liberty Steakhouse at Broadway at the Beach. Just my opinion, but I really like their IPA and Rockets Red Ale. The wifey loves the raspberry wheat. The food is also excellent for pub fare.

Thanks, TyTanium & GLWIII!

We'll definitely keep our eyes out for the Natty Greene's & check out the pub. Good to know there's something going on down there :)

There wasn't much of a craft brew scene there when I visited in 2010, but the Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons has, surprisingly, a fabulous selection (here are reviews on BA: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17559). I am going back in August and have been researching to see what has changed. I found this site, http://www.myrtlebeachcraftbeer.com/, which seems to have the best information that I have found. Hope it helps.
