Going to make it easy for you guys just like leadhead did.

You favorite local stouts, IPAs, IIPA's or any great brew's not available in CA.

Thank you so much! There's been lots of talk on a couple of message boards about how great the Elevated IPA is - having it right now and it lives up to the hype (cool can too). I can't wait for the weekend to destroy some of these Imperial stouts and barley wines.

Glad they made it there safely. That Elevated is a great brew and the brewery is 20 minutes from my house so I'm sort of spoiled there. :mug: Enjoy the best that New Mexico has to offer in bottles/cans for the barleywine and imperial stouts!

If this thread was referred to as MAWe or MAWev instead of the atrocity it has become (eMAW) I could probably grant almost any of them. But that e in the wrong place ruins it :). Hopefully it changes so I can join ImageUploadedByHome Brew1390465338.639784.jpgImageUploadedByHome Brew1390465349.773225.jpg

HAha I just had to drop a few Kstate references after someone called it the EMAW. I will try to keep it more Jayhawk friendly from now on ( I hope you realize how tough that will be) :D

Wow! Another Abyss in the EMAW thread. Keep up the generosity people :D

I've got a couple left and there's one store around here that still had a couple last weekend. If it's still on the shelf it's a shelf beer. I really should go get the rest of them

I'm making a Brett Saison and about to rake to secondary for the extended aging with the Brett (5-6 months). Do you guys think I should add oak cubes too? I'm thinking yes... :mug:

I say yes. Everything ive had from Crooked Stave that was oaked and had brett was crazy good.

Yeah oak plus Brett is usually great just make it a subtle flavor don't go too crazy. I usually just throw a few cubes soaked in whiskey or rum in for the aging.

haha, I haven't had anything from them, but I hear good things! I guess we'll have to see how I stack up! One of the only Brett Saisons I've had is the Boulevard one, but holy crap was that amazing. The moment I tried it I decided I had to try to make one. I brewed 10 gallons of saison and fermented half with WLP585 and half with Belle Saison dry yeast to try them out. I'm going to take 2 gallons of each, blend them and add some Brett Clauss and, i guess, the oz or 2 of cubes i've got. :) should be interesting!

I actually havent had the Brett Saison from boulevard.

Isn't Boulevard MADE like 100 miles from you?

yes it is! I didnt get into craft beer until last year and did not know about it until after it wasnt available anymore.

Drive there now and get some!!! :) Or it's probably available at your local beer store...

unfortunately, the special release smoke stacks like that one dont last long around here. I have never seen one here once I knew about it. I may be getting one in a trade next month though :D

Boulevard's Saison Brett is probably my favorite beer they make. Unfortunately it won't be released until June.

And boom goes the dynamite!

Rocking box from NunyaFNB! Way to be man, I'm super excited to try that schells! Already broke into the new glarus, so happy you sent 2!!! You can never go wrong with Surly and one new IPA for me.

Thus box could have survived a tornado, super well packed sir.

Thank you very much!!!
