i went to the coolest craft bar last week. they offer pours by the ounce with over 30 taps. they give you a debit card and you place it by the tap and then pour as much as you want. they charge by the ounce. it was about 40 to 80 cents per ounce. the higher end ones were the imperial stouts and hazies etc. most were around 50 cents.
they had all sizes of beer glasses down to 4 ounce tasters and up to pitchers. they had growlers for takeaway or you can bring your own favorite glass. (or growler)
its obviously not cheap but the ability to pour whatever you want made it the best craft bar i have ever been to. you could literally pour a 1 ounce taste and then decide if you want more. the selection was amazing. aside from all manners of beer ale stout and lager they also had 2 ciders a mead and sangria. it was nice not to have to "invest" in 12 ounces of beer that i didint particularly prefer. i dont think it is a chain. has anyone else been to a pour by the ounce bar. or have you ever heard of one.
i am not affiliated so dont want to mention the name. finback ipa rolling in clouds from queens is prolly one of the best hazies i have had - OMG
btw they had amazing hand carved tap handles (including a wooden peni$ for bud light drinkers to have to grab onto- which i thought was a cute touch - no pun intended)
