My faster fermenter cracked at the neck. Would it be safe to fill the crack with something, and what would that be?. Thanks in advance all of your advice.

Do you mean just above the valve? If so I can't imagine anything you could "fill it with" that would be both sanitary and strong enough to be water tight. I know there is such a thing as plastic welding but someone else will have to advise there... Might just be a disaster waiting to happen!

I would first of all contact the maker with a description of how/when it cracked and pictures. They may just make it right.

Would love to know myself as I use one as well.

Good luck

It's right above where the valve screws on, and I have had it for over a year now. To top it off was not using thier stand so I'm pretty sure I'm screwed.

Ouch... Are you using the the hangers? Or did you make a stand that the fermenter sits down in? Did you drop it or let it rest on the trub ball or in some other way abuse it? If not - or anyway I would still contact them.

They do check in here on the forum occasionally and seem to be concerned to produce a quality product. Can't hurt to give them a shout!

Cheers!

I normally use a bucket, but let it rest on trub ball. It was purely my fault, and was hoping there was a way to fix it. I'm not sure I'll go back to one, as there are just too many ways it can be cracked. I know the same can be said for glass and buckets.
