Cooler Mash Tun Questions

So I have purchased a 5 gallon cooler to make a mash tun out of. The only issue is, it has a removable spout unlike most. The opening after I remove the whole spigot is MUCH larger then most.

Check out the pics and tell me if you think this is going to work.

get a long nipple, seal it from the inside, use a large fender washer on the outside and tighten her down.

I bet with the right length nipple you can make it work, or return it and get a know working cooler

You will need a larger diameter nipple and valve assembly, and possibly some pieces to reduce it down to 3/8 or whatever you want the output to be, but as long as you can seal it from the inside, you can definitely make it work.
