Anybody by any chance able to grab a Weiss trash tank for me? I'll be down in CT next weekend and can bring some trillium or I can just PayPal and send a shipping label.

I have cans for you if you need them. Not going to be at OEC though. Let me know if you want them.

Thanks! Workin' a couple things out...Paul and/or Dan should have me covered to a degree, but I'll let you know if that doesn't work out.

Big vacation to the Cape coming up in a week and all I can think about is crushin' these cans on the beach for a solid 10 days.

I hear ya. Going to the "ever classy" Hampton Beach today right after work. Tank top will be worn while crushing many a-can of these in the next few days.

If anyone has a plug for tickets to Hops for Hope, holla @ me youngin.

Some thoughts from yesterday's CT Hops for Hope....

I never thought I would say his, but CT is becoming a pretty awesome place for beer. Highlights:
Beer'd Brewing- very good hoppy offerings. Seems to have a skill at brewing flavorful, drinkable, non malt bomb 9% DIPAs

Steady Habbit: solid pale ales/IPAs. Had a single citra and single mosaic both in th 7% range. Very good. But this guy has a sweet stout that floored the entire festival: Big Bad Bunny. Brewed for Easter this year, and then for the fest. Sweet stout with cacao nibs, coconut, and vanilla beans. Incredible.

Kent Falls: farmhouse brewery that's dialing in their yeast for saisons. They love brewing fruited goses, and table beers in the meantime. However, just started brewing their first few clean hoppy beers, and holy hell are they good at it. Very juicy beers that could use a bit more carb, but very promising for their 1st year.

Lasting Brass: top two beers of the day. This guy has been a local legend for the past few years with his homebrew. He's getting ready to open up in Spring next year a full scale commercial operation. His pales were on point, but his sours... Oh his sours! Completely unique. A golden brewed in September of 2014, with one aged on cherries and lime. The other aged on blueberries and lemon zest. It was like drinking 1 part sonic ice drink + A dash of crazy ginger flavor(no ginger was used, I asked) and a nice lactic finish. I cannot wait to try more of his beer.

Seems legit.

Hah pretty sure that is the beer dinner they do before they have big bottle releases. I went for the dinner before the Kriek/philsamic/gueuze release and it was pretty good.

This Friday I'm planning on heading up to Trillium to be there when they open, then head to Night Shift and finally down to Tree House. How busy are Fridays at these three places? I've heard it's a good idea to bring a cooler to Tree House. Any other tips or "lessons learned"?

Any idea on prices? I'm hoping to get a bunch of bottles at Trillium, cans of Whirlpool and Santilli at Night Shift, and both growlers and cans at Tree House. Also, how does it work at TH when getting both cans and growlers? Do I wait in line for cans first and then drop off the growler card, or does the cooler serve as a placeholder to drop off the growler card?

Thanks a lot in advance guys, I'm really psyched about my day trip on Friday!

Trill runs $8-12 for 25.4oz bottles depending on the brand (usually the bigger the beer the bigger the bucks). If you are there for open on Friday, you should be good money for bottles without much wait - growlers tend to be a much longer wait there in my few experiences.

TreeHouse: Fridays* at TreeHouse are busy (because TreeHouse) - if you want TreeHouse growlers, being there around 3:30-4 is a good idea to minimize wait. You will either be given a growler slip to fill out while waiting in line before opening if you are there early enough, or grab one yourself off the counter inside upon entry. Either way, hand your slip in as soon as possible to get in the queue early and go grab your cans.

Basic rundown: If you are at TreeHouse for 3:30 you will very likely end up dropping your slip off before opening time while waiting in the parking lot (the staff collects them and sometimes even begins filling growlers before open). At open, you will wait through the can line (0-30 minutes usually at open depending on where you are in line) and then pick up your growlers which, depending on turnout, will likely be full at that time if your slip got in decently early.

*Most days/times are pretty busy at TreeHouse these days.
Someone else can better speak to Night Shift. Hope this helps!!
