I have 2 similar all grain 5 gal kits that I would like to combine into a 10 gallon batch. I expect the outcome to be similar to mixing 2 bottles of these two brews. Is that realistic? Should I anticipate that the combination of the batches would yield a battle of hops or grains that would ruin the attempt.
The kits are :
Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat and Dry Stout, both from NB.
I will be mashing in a 10 gal igloo and boiling in a keggle.

Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat

7.75# Briess pale ale
1# eng roasted barley
1# Vienna
.5# flaked oats
.5# Victory
.375# black malt
.5# lactose
1oz glacier
.25 oz williamette at 5 minutes

Dry Stout

6# Maris Otter
2# Flaked Barley
1# Roasted Barley
1.5oz Cluster

I intend to boost Alchohol with addition of 2# Light Brown Sugar.

Thanks for advice!

The hops look like they have similar characteristics, and the overall styles of each are similar, so I'd say it's fine, but what do I know?

I mostly make cider, but have started dabbling in beer. Please take my advice with a grain of salt.

Thanks phug
All inputs are gladly accepted. I am in the process now. Sparging. I guess I will know in a few weeks :mug:
