I'm thinking of my next beer and was tilting towards a red sour ale with blackberries. I'm curious what color the blackberries will add. My latest beer has blueberries and it has sort of a magenta hue to it, but the grist was 2/3 pale and 1/3 oats and so there was very little color from the grains.

Anyone brewed with blackberries with some color commentary?

Mine came out similar to blueberry, but darker - a lot like this one:

Blackberry will be that crimson reddish magenta. Similar to blueberry but darker. If you want deep hues ad 4 oz of hibiscus with the blackberries. Will add a nice tart berry complexity
