Over the years (2) my brew system has taken many forms. From my mothers kitchen, the backyard and more recently the driveway.

A more permanent, space saving and low cost solution was needed. Behold the Collapsible Wall Mounted Three Tier Brew Stand for Preservation of Time and Space [CWMTTBSPTS for short (or WMBS even shorter)] was born!!!!! (At least in Sketch-up and soon to be reality.)

Two shelves will be mounted on a cinder block wall using a RamSet (awesome tool) and be able to fold flat to minimize space when brewing is not is session.

Below is a picture of a sample shelf. The shelf is split to show how it will look open and closed. It is not to scale and the proportions are off.

With the magic of sketch up we can visualize the WMBS in action.

Build pics will be posted as the project progresses.

Any thoughts??

It's the collapsible part that concerns me. One blundered move on brewday and you have 40 to 80+ pounds of 150*F sugar water down your trousers boiling your Oscar Mayer.

The swinging shelf support will be cut on an angle to "lock" into the lower support. I could always add a safety pin (nail) to secure the support in place.

Yes having 40+ pounds of 170deg wort and grains is a hell of a wake up call.

This has gave me an idea. Except not use wood, weld a mount for burners, and mount it to the wall with steel.

hmmm interesting, you have my mental sprockets moving now.

I am doing the same thing but with foldable shelving brackets. I am only going to be makeing a small 2.5 gallon system, so we will see.
