Coffin Keezer Project For Maytag 14.8

I'd like to start out by thanking everyone who has contributed to these forums! I've spent countless hours reading over posts here before I got started on my project.

My Completed Keezer Base

Purchased So Far:

• Maytag 14.8 Deep Freezer (On Sale at Home Depot)
• (4) Casters
• (2)Muffin Fan 120mm
• Love TSS2 Controller (will control keezer & fans separately)
• Taprite 7 way regulator
• (6) Perlick 525SS Taps

I plan to have 6 taps (4 beer, 1 soda, 1 Sparkling Water). We are still deciding how we want to finish out the cabinet but are thinking mahogany or walnut. I plan on posting updates whenever I get around to round 2.

Finally had a few hours to work on it some more. We ended up going with Alder. Hopefully I'll have more time to work on it later this week.

Fitting up the outside walls. This side will be enclosed - My CO2 tanks and regulator will be stored here.

This will eventually be storage shelves. (RaspberryPints in background)

Coffin Completed - Dry fitting a piece of stainless steel as the backsplash (had the holes cut at work on a plasma burn table)

Trim finished & keezer finally ready to be stained

Tapped a few kegs...couldn't wait until it was completed

Done Staining

I originally planned on polishing the whole sheet shiny, however this was too time consuming. My wife and I actually like what I ended up with just taking a grinding wheel to the stainless sheet. Sanding sealer coat has been added. All I have left now is to add a few coats of clear brushing lacquer.

95% done finally! Plan on adding another coat of lacquer and then I'll be ready to build up a drip tray in front!
