I'd like to move my CO2 bottle outside the fridge, but I don't want to have it connected all the time.

Therefore I need a simple way to connect the CO2 hose to the manifold that will be on the inside of the fridge.

A quick disconnect post for ball lock mounted in the fridge door next to the taps would be ideal. What would I need to buy to make this?

I'm also open to other suggestions about how you think it could be done, or how you've done it yourself.

I did this for the CO2 and nitro feeds into my keezer.

Start with a 1/4" MFL-MFL bulkhead

then add a 1/4" FFL x 9/16-18" Firestone gas post adapter

and a Firestone gas post.

Don't forget the 1/4" flare gasket...

I did the above for both gas and liquid, works great! all I need is to find some reusable post covers to keep them clean when not in use.

Interesting. You're using beer shanks for gas?

If one leaves out the post adapter and post and uses common 1/4" FFL connectors on both sides of the 1/4" bulkheads the holes are much smaller and the cost is considerably less...

Cheers!

This is my setup using the bulkhead shank Daytrippr shows above:

I'm just using swivel nuts to connect the gas and distribution manifold. Depending on how often you feel you want to disconnect the gas, might just unscrewing a swivel nut work?

I can see that chicompany has several types of ball lock post. Is there any other difference than the thread size and maybe poppet type?

I just want to make sure my ball lock quick disconnect will fit the post and seal properly.

These solutions are great but are too fancy shmancy for me. My cheapo solution uses a screwdriver and a hose-clamp and requires about 30 seconds to either attach or detach the gas hose from the regulator.

Any ball lock gas disconnect will fit any ball lock gas post...

Cheers!
