Hi Can anyone help me? I have had my first brew in a barrel for a week now, but although the pressure inside the barrel is building up, the beer is still not clear, and has a strong yeast taste. Do I need to wait longer or should I try syphoning my beer into another barrel?

Beer usually needs a month to fully clear. What's the rush?

im sure he wants to drink it asap. thats still my only problem with brewing, being patient isnt one of my better qualities.

Ok I will try to be a bit more patient. What about the strong taste of yeast, will that subdue, or have I done something wrong?

Thanks, the barrel has a pressure release valve like a King Keg. Will I need to re barrel in a months time?

Don't barrels pull beer out from the bottom? Isn't this where the yeast fall and settle? If it's carbonated pull a glass or two and pour it down the drain...then drink some beer?
