A question for the kombucha keggers.

What are you using to clean and sanitize your kegs? Iodophor or star san for sanitizing?

Is washing them with hot water and synthetic vinegar enough? Do you use PBW to clean the kegs?

Cleaning:
The best procedure is a two steps, with water rinses before and after each step:
1. Long soak in hot PBW or similar, which removes organic residue.
2. Short soak/ rinse with acid (e.g. phosphoric, citric, acetic), which removes inorganic residue.

Sanitizing:
Any commercial sanitizer like Iodophor or Star San are fine, and there are other options as well.
