El Catador members...

We at Cigar City Brewing would like to thank you for your unwavering support of our brewery through your membership in our El Catador Barrel-aged Beer Club. When we developed the idea for the club in 2013 we aimed for the club to be the centerpiece of our family of brands, a forum to share our most ambitious and innovative beers with an audience of educated and enthusiastic beer connoisseurs. The reception that these beers have found among our most critical consumers has been overwhelming, especially when considering that the El Catador Club members truly and deeply understand beer, brewing and the process of aging ales and lagers in wooden vessels. We not only appreciate the accolades you've given our rarest and most challenging beers, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we do everything in our power to increase the efficiency of our online portal, improve speed of our in-person bottle check-outs, and expand the scope of benefits for our club members. Thank you for being a part of the most challenging, ambitious and rewarding part of our brewing operations.

We would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to join the 5th Edition of the El Catador Club. All members of the 4th Edition are guaranteed a spot in the 5th Edition club at or below your current membership level. That means that those holding a two bottle membership in the 4th Edition may renew with a two or one bottle membership in the 5th Edition, while those with a one bottle membership in the 4th Edition may only renew for a one bottle membership in the 5th edition. As with previous clubs, membership in the 5th Edition Club guarantees members five barrel-aged beers, a club-only Spiegelau glass and a card granting a 10% discount in our Tasting Room. Additional benefits and rewards will be announced as the club develops but rest assured that El Catador Club members will have access to events and beer not offered to the general public. Our goal for each edition of the club is to get bottles of beer into our members' hands as quickly as possible and we will continue toward this goal with the 5th Edition of El Catador Club. While the nature of aging beer in wooden vessels leads to open-ended timelines and offers more opportunities for production issues, we feel confident that the 5th Edition will progress on a timeline similar to that of the 4th Edition, meaning more frequent beer releases and more new beer in our members' glasses.

As mentioned in earlier emails, 4th Edition El Catador Club members have until 11 PM on Wednesday, November 9th to claim the bottles from this club. No pickups for members or trustees will be honored after that time, and your El Catador Club discount card will expire at that time as well. We strongly encourage those picking up bottles before that date to visit the brewery on weekdays or early afternoons to expedite pick-up. If you are acting as a trustee for more than four members, please contact us at [email protected] before arriving at the brewery so we can have your bottles ready for you and you can have more time to enjoy a beer in the Tasting Room.

On behalf of our brewers and our management team, we'd like to thank you again for your trust and your support. We all look forward to having a barrel-aged beer with you in our Tasting Room in the very near future! Prost!

Back in for round 5. Having joined in round 1 have been consistently happy with the beers being released through this and can't complain about the easy* access to really solid BA beers. Although there have been a few things I haven't been crazy for, there has not been a single beer I have truly been disappointed by.

*well, once in the cool kids club.

Damn. I have an obligation in couple hours that will prevent me from making it to that side of the bay. How long are you back in Florida for?

Till Monday. My schedule is pretty open except for Friday/Saturday. More than likely going to see Dan and Joe at Arkane on Thursday. Otherwise, I'm free for a majority of the week.

So the timing of this last bottle dropping just misses my window for when I will be down in orlando/tampa. Anyone available to proxy? We could either meet up in orlando/tampa first week of december or I'll send you a shipper with some nice thank you bottles.

I can grab em. I work 2 minutes from CCB and can meet you there when you're in town.

It's probably the best membership I have to renew.

Humble brag about having a Mazer Club lifetime membership.
