File me under the "looking to split my membership" category as well, but I'm looking for $300 and I just get to keep one bottle, haha.

Having been in since day 1 I didn't think there would come a time that I would walk away from this one but its becoming hard to justify the price tag when 2-3 releases from each round I would balk at if I saw them priced for $30 on the shelves of a local bottle shop. Those who are local and taking advantage of the tap room discount seem to be the real winners of this membership but even that perk is less impactful when you need to re-up every few months.

I don't understand what this means. Not that you would have the answers, but who picks which bottles? What happens to the 5th bottle... do they share it? Ro sham bo for it? Whoever gets to the tasting room first gets to keep it? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

You were supposed to sell your DB Huna bottle to pay for round 5.

There are 2 membership options now. For $150 you get 1 x 5 different ba bottles, and for $300 you get 2 x 5. So 1/2 of a $300 membership would mean each person gets 1×5 bottles.

Ahhh, this makes much more sense. I think I'd just continue to join the lotto each year and hope I get chosen then trade for the bottles that I want. Plus, once CCB catches on (and chances are they will), both people will lose that membership anyway.

I'd also be kinda salty about missing out on the Huna day guaranteed ticket if I were the non-official member.

There are 2 membership options now. For $150 you get 1 x 5 different ba bottles, and for $300 you get 2 x 5. So 1/2 of a $300 membership would mean each person gets 1×5 bottles.

Oh, I know. I'm a 2 bottle membership guy. It's not really specified in either post if the member is a 1 bottle or 2 bottle person, so I don't know how the split would work.

When they say "I only get to keep one bottle" I assume this means they want to keep 1 bottle of the 5 that are released from a 1 bottle membership.

I thought I remembered seeing something on their FB page or Instagram saying they did not allow sharing of memberships, but I could be wrong. In any case... they could find out and revoke the membership if they decide it's something they want to prevent.

You're absolutely correct - I tend to do that a lot.

Edit: this may have been perceived as a bit *******... but I promise it's not. I just overanalyze things (I blame the job...) so that's where I'm coming from. I'm also happy with my 2 bottle membership - I like the flexibility to be able to drink a bottle and then share one with friends/family or trade if I feel like it.

Guaranteed five bottles that are offered when they're ready, time frame has historically been all over the place, but last two rounds have gone pretty quickly (~3-4 months). They often offer up extra bottles, whether they be additional bottles of the club releases or new beers that weren't offered in the 5 per round.

It'seems 5 bottles throughout the length of the membership but they've been putting bottles out pretty quick. I wouldn't be surprised if round 5 wrapped up by Huna day (mid March). Last 2 rounds an extra bottle was offered for sale (round 3 it was a different bottle and round 4 it was a 2nd db Huna).

For trustee I have Coldsnack and he's awesome. Not sure he has bandwidth though.
