My high abv wine cider has been in secondary for 5 months, Its started out tasting and smelling like death out of secondary but 5 months and it tastes amazing now. I noticed there is quite some haze in the it tho still. It have been oaked aged for 2 months and im thinking of adding another fresh ounce of oak for my third racking.

I am in no rush and will re rack but i am more worried of if not carbonating if i leave it for 8 months, Would this be a problem? is 5 months and slightly hazy cider something i must deal with?

I cold crashed a cider the other day that was super cloudy. I took it out of the fridge today and it was crystal clear! And it shouldn't change your carbonation. If anything it will just slow it down for a few hours, but the yeast will live at the low temperatures just fine.
