I just picked up a used Magic chief 5.5 cu chest freezer and fermawrap. I have it powered by a stc-1000. The compressor kicks on every 5-6 hours for about 45 min to a hour with the .5 setting. I just changed to the .3 setting which i figured would kick the compressor on around every 4-5 hours for hopeful a little shorter of a time. My question is if the compressor kicks on every 4-5 for around 45 min would that be to much. Also i was thinking about putting a computer fan in the freezer to move some air. Do you thing that would help.

I think a 25% or lower duty cycle is just fine for fridge or freezer.
My keezer typically runs around 20%.

Definitely install a small air mover running 24/7 (not just when the compressor is running). It doesn't take much to stir the air in a 5cf cabinet - or a 13cf for that matter. I run a 120mm 12VDC fan on 9VDC in my keezer and there's nearly zero temperature differential from top to bottom...

Cheers!
