I may have some man boobs starting up but that erectile function still works pretty damn good.

This same sh%t happens with e-cigarettes (which I'm a proponent of). The big corporations spew their crap to try to shut down what's threatening them.

I blame online media for stuff like this. "Craft" beer, which includes a lot of hoppy brews, is a big thing now. Whenever a new big thing comes along somebody tries to capitalize on it by exploiting fear, even if it's completely irrational. I'm willing to bet that the "craft" beer consumer's demographic is predominately male. An unscrupulous clickbait journalist knows this, and invents a bull**** headline that makes male "craft" beer drinkers afraid that their new love, i.e. decent beer, is going to render them impotent and cause them to develop female sexual characteristics. "OMG, I don't want that to happen!" says panic-stricken Joe Hipster Millennial, who immediately puts down his 15,000 IBU Super-Duper-Imperial IPA and clicks on the link. Clicks=cash. Don't read this crap, it only encourages them.

So if you are an avid IPA drinker, get some Viagra and a training bra. Problem solved (You're welcome)

*or*

You can buy my genetically altered hops which remove all the man-boob-erectile-disfunctioning compounds.

Special HBT price is $100 an ounce :cross:

I hate to rescue old topics, but is someone that had problems caused by drinking a lot of beer?
Probably the ones caused by alcohol abuse, I doubt any other compound will affect you before the alcohol does, so IMO the only thing to worry about in beer, is alcohol

i did after 5 years of heavy drinking? instead of quiting drinking though i decided, although it was a valiant and noble attempt at livinng off beer. i needed to leaarn to eat right....that was 11 years ago....still here...i was 260 then, now i'm ~175, and i actually drink more then back then now...

One of the many beer and herb books I read (I think it had something to do with a Brewer's Herb Garden or something), complained about the use of hops in beer as a soporific and testosterone suppressant. The author was promoting traditional gruit herbs as an alternative. Someone probably read the book and used it for clickbait.

I'm with @bracconiere; I eat better and exercise more, so that I don't have to change my beer-making and drinking habits.
