I am gathering my wine making supplies while the plums on the tree continue to ripen. What online sites do most winemakers use to buy wine making additives?

I use my local store as much as possible. Her prices a slightly higher but I can get what I need when I need it. Plus I'd rather spend my money at a mom&pop than some site online. Just my 2¢

I wish I had a local store to guy from. It would be nice when I realize I need a bit of fresh K-sorbate (or whatever) to simply pay for the bag and not have to wait several days for it's arrival and possibly have to pay as much for shipping as is paid for the item. But, the two LHBSs that were within traveling distance (50-60 mile 1-way trip) have closed down. One "appears" to be reopening, hopefully. But it will still be a 2+ hour drive to pick up a $7 item? :(

I've recently purchased from MoreWine, Midwestern, and Amazon. FWIW. Sometimes it's not about cost but about the availability of specific items that you're looking for. Different online sources will often have different prices on the same items.

If you do have a local store I would definitely check with them...value is more than simple monetary worth.
Best wishes on your shopping *and* wine making!

I ended up going local, and love the prices!
